Modellus is used to introduce computational modeling for allowing an easy and intuitive creation of mathematical models using just standard mathematical notation, for having the possibility of creating animations with interactive objects that have mathematical properties expressed in the model, for allowing the exploration of multiple representations and for permitting the analysis of experimental data in the form of images, animations, charts and tables. Modellus focuses on modeling and on the meaning of models.
It has been published in different languages (Portuguese, English, Chinese, Greek, Spanish, ...) and it is used in all over the world with samples ranging from Physics to Mathematics, going through Mechanics, Chemistry, Statistics, Algebra, Geometry, among others.

Modellus X 0.5 R.C. Released
Modellus X 0.5 Release Candidate has just been released. You can download it from the “Download” section. As always this a pre-release of version 0.5 to allow for translators to finish translating the new version and for me to correct last standing bugs.
For now and in case you are installing Modellus X on a Mac you’ll need to also install java8. This will no longer be necessary on future versions of Modellus X.
This is what has changed in this release:

Stop conditions and "if" in current Modellus X 0.4
There has been several people asking me how to create stop conditions and "if" statements in the current version of Modellus.
"If" statements have been replaced by mathematical conditions - "condition" buttton in model task, and as for stop conditions they are not yet available but you can emulate them.
The following modellus file: stopConditions.modellus illustrastes a simple example of emulting stop conditions and using conditions. It moves the particle according to "y=cos(x)*50" as long as t < 30.
