Modellus is a freely available application that enables students and teachers (high school and university) to use mathematics to create or explore models interactively.

Modellus is used to introduce computational modeling for allowing an easy and intuitive creation of mathematical models using just standard mathematical notation, for having the possibility of creating animations with interactive objects that have mathematical properties expressed in the model, for allowing the exploration of multiple representations and for permitting the analysis of experimental data in the form of images, animations, charts and tables. Modellus focuses on modeling and on the meaning of models.

It has been published in different languages (Portuguese, English, Chinese, Greek, Spanish, ...) and it is used in all over the world with samples ranging from Physics to Mathematics, going through Mechanics, Chemistry, Statistics, Algebra, Geometry, among others.

Modellus 2.5

Modellus was originally created by Vitor Duarte Teodoro, with the collaboration of João Paulo Duque Vieira and Filipe Costa Clérigo. Also with contributions by George Birbilis.

Modellus 4.01

Modellus 4.01 developed by Vitor Duarte Teodoro, João Paulo Duque Vieira and Pedro Duque Vieira is a complete remake and fresh restart of the original Modellus. It has new enhancements, new interface, adaptations on usability and multi-plaform support.

Modellus 4.5

Modellus 4.5 adds some more features to version 4.01 and improves multi-platform support. It was developed by Vitor Duarte Teodoro, João Paulo Duque Vieira and Pedro Duque Vieira.
